Lock a folder on your Computer

If you want to lock a windows folder so that no one can open it ,than this might help you

Suppose you want to lock the folder VIKAS in D drive.

So, its path shall be D:/VIKAS

1. Open the notepad. Type:

Ren VIKAS VIKAS.{21EC2020- 3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}.

Now save this text file as LOCK.bat in the same drive.

2. Now, again open the notepad. Type:

Ren VIKAS.{21EC2020- 3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} VIKAS

Save this text file as unlock.bat in the same drive.

To lock the folder

just double click on the lock.bat and the folder will be inaccessible

To unlock the folder

Just double click on unlock.bat

Try that and Enjoy!!!

Neeraj, i hope you are trying this trick on Windows XP. Try again step by step on Windows XP.
